Institutional (Central) Advisory Council

Advisory Council members are appointed by the Board in line with Article 12 (2) a-e of NDEBUMOG’s Principal Statute (The Constitution). Powers of Advisory Council members are further enforced by Article 15 (1-3) and Article 16 (1-13) of the same statute.

Though an individual may hold dual membership of two advisory organs in the Niger Delta Budget Monitoring Group, that is, being a member of this Central Advisory Council and at the same time, holds a position as management advisor. Differences between the two are:


  1. Institutional (Central) Advisory Council
    Appointees into this organ are appointed by the Board of the organization. They are the 2nd highest ranking officials after the Board.
  1. Management Advisors
    Management advisors are those appointed by the Executive Director/Chief Executive Officer. Management advisors operates under the secretariat, whereas, (1) above are under the Board of the organization and operates under same.
