Women Matters Advisor (WMA)

Sabena Uju is a development planner, administrator and researcher. She holds a Bachelor Degree in Economics and a Master’s Degree in development studies. She is pursuing Doctoral Honours (in view) in the same field. She was a State Coordinator in one of the sub national affiliates of NDEBUMOG, until her elevation to the position of Advisor on Women Matters in 2023.

As Advisor on Women Matters, she reports to the Executive Director/ Chief Executive Officer on responsibilities that positively impacts on women across organs of NDEBUMOG, including, the organisation’s think tank. Inexhaustibly, such responsibilities include, advising management on programs/activities/interventions that are related to women and supervising women’s projects and programs that may be assigned to her. She also liaises with several of affiliates’ executives, follow up on coordination, mobilization, facilitations, involvement in selection/nominations for international opportunities for NDEBUMOG’s women that has evolved since 2022 and structural supervision of SBGs Coordinators, among others. She also keeps track with Team Leaders and Cluster Livelihoods (Lead) Persons and liaising with other Advisors and managerial officials to identify programmatic interventions for realistic impacts harvesting.

She is influential within the spheres of (NDEBUMOG) affiliates, due to her ability to deliver on responsibilities effectively. She is endowed with harmonious disposition towards others through ability to manage issues and responsibilities, even under pressure, without mis-laying purposeful tracks.
