PIA’s 30% Campaign Advocacy Visits.

The Pilot (2022) Phase of PIA’s Campaign for Women’s Economic Inclusion took place across communities and to stakeholders mentioned below:

Oklomade, Adada, Akani, Emelogo, Amuruthor, Ogboloma, Odau, Emirikpoko,, Anyu, Emago, Edegelem, Igbo Etche (Clan with many communities) , Dighiriga, Ogbemakok, Emesu, Obarany, Emilaaghan, Owerewere, Egunughan, Emilaghan, Iyak, Elok, Aminigboko, Emoh, Okoboh, Eleme (Clan with many communities), Ogu Bolo (Clan with many communities), Ikot Abasi, Ette, Ibeno, Uruan, Eket, et al. Government agencies, oil & gas related associations and influencers visited were: Deputy Senate President of the Nigerian Senate, Senate Committee on Host Communities, House of Representatives Committee on Host Communities, Deputy Governor of Bayelsa state, Wife of the Governor of Bayelsa state, Honourable Commissioner of Women Affairs in Bayelsa State, Chairman of Bayelsa State Council of Traditional Rulers, Queens of Bayelsa State. Others are; Kings, Chiefs, Community Development Committees, Opinion moulders, Persons with Disability, Female Lawyers, Experts in Oil & Gas matters and others not mentioned here.

Oxfam supported this campaign, which could not be extended to cover additional communities and stakeholders, beyond the scope of available logistics. Notwithstanding, if NDEBUMOG have (future) opportunity to embark on other phase(s) of the campaign, additional communities and stakeholders shall be reached.
